Tiny Escapes didn't begin with a plan to build a collection of vacation rentals. We were looking for another way to live. More time outside. More freedom. A little less stuff. A life lived closer to nature.
So we started small. We put our savings into the idea. We built with our own hands. We figured things out as we went. And we lived in the spaces we were creating. We cooked there. Slept there. Spent our days outside.
And found that living smaller gave us more room for what mattered.

In 2018, what we had been building became Tiny Escapes.
We wanted to create places where other people could experience some of what we had found for ourselves.
A small space of their own. A way to live a little closer to nature.
Thoughtful comforts that made it easy to settle in.
So we kept building.

What began as a different way of living became part of our family's life. We still pay attention to how these places feel, what they need and the little things that make someone feel cared for when they arrive. And over the years, we've watched people come here for all kinds of reasons.
Anniversaries.
Birthdays.
Proposals.
Quiet weekends.
Time alone.
Time together.
And sometimes, no occasion at all.

The things that mattered to us when we began still matter now. Being closer to nature. Choosing experiences over more things. Making room for what matters most. And continuing to explore how we can live—and build—a little more intentionally.
Tiny Escapes is one way we've found to do that.
And over the years, we've learned that what matters looks different for everyone.
What you make room for here is yours.
